Rainbow Paper

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials:

1. Filter Paper
2. Water-based felt pen
3. Cup
4. Water

Process:

Step 1: Get a filter paper.
Step 2: Measure 1cm.
Step 3: Draw a line in the 1cm mark.
Step 4: Get a water based felt pen and draw to dots.
Step 5: Put the paper and make sure the line that you made in not touching the bottom of the cup.
Step 6: Fill the cup with a little bit of water.

Conclusion: What have I learned from this experiment?

I have learnt from this experiment is how Forensics is so important because it can solve a crime.
I have learnt that Forensics can be Fingerprints, DNA, Ballistics, Footprints, Forgery, Genealogy and Appearance.
What I found out about the paper it is not only called filter paper but it is also called Chromatography paper.

Aim: To learn the names of 10 household chemicals and identify if they are a solid, liquid or a gas.

Equipment:

1. soap
2. lemon juice

7. onion gas  
8. bleach  
9.  baking soda
10. lemonade

Steps:

1. write the 10 household equipment.
2. put the name of the 10 household items and put the chemical that is in them and put an image of it, then put if it is a solid, liquid or gas.
3. write a conclusion. 

Task 1: Put the 10 chemicals in a chart with the titles - Name, Chemical ingredient(s), Image, Solid/Liquid/Gas.

I also learnt about the rules in science. 

DMIC Math

This week for DMIC math we have to solve how much the person is going to make and is the person is losing the money.

in our group, there is Aisa, Kalisi, Faye and I.

we know that $2.50 per hour is how much the person needs to pay his/her mum to hire the lawn mow.
after we tried to solve the problem we sat on the mat and shared our ideas together.
2 groups shared their ideas and Whaea Reawyn asks us some questions about how they tried to solve it.

CIP

Today in CIP we have to vote on what art work we want to do.
You can choose from the H for Hornby high, inspirational massage or and native bird from NZ.
My friends and i pick the native birds because it represents our country and the nature.
We are going to be doing the art work by collecting rubbish around the school and be focusing about the native birds and native plants.
We can use recycling paper, cans, bottle caps and packaging.

What did i do on Tuesday?
On Tuesday we when to the GYM and we played multi sports, Then we went into our teams and the other teams that are also doing touch we taught them how we play riper rugby.

Within our sports what worked well?
I think what worked well is when we played the game of riper ruby.

What do you need to change for next time?
I think we can just try to listen to other peoples ideas and pay attention to our team mates.

What are you looking forward to when you present?
I am looking forward is playing the other teams game and playing our game.

Rapunzel with a twist.

In music we are doing a movie called Rapunzel with a twist. You have to pick a fairy tale and make a twist.

In our movie Rapunzel gets kidnapped. When Mother Gothel got back Rapunzel was gone. Rapunzel got kid napes by Flynn
